2023 Diversity & Inclusion Award

The Diversity and Inclusion Award acknowledges an aquatic and recreation facility that has demonstrated exceptional commitment to promoting inclusivity, fostering an inclusive workplace and community within their facility. 

It acknowledges efforts made to create an environment that values and embraces diversity, equity, and inclusion. The facility has taken action to ensure equal opportunities and representation for individuals from diverse backgrounds, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, religion, and socioeconomic status. 

Their actions may include implementing policies and practices that eliminate barriers, promoting diversity in hiring and leadership positions, creating inclusive educational programs, advocating for marginalised groups, or developing activities and initiatives that celebrate and respect different cultures and identities. 

Essential Criteria

• Current member of the Aquatic & Recreation Institute, and

Required Information

• Details of the person, including why they have a generous spirit and how they give to their team.
• Examples on how they are solution driven.
• A general statement on overall work ethic.
