The First Lap voucher program extended to Kindy Kids

by Aquatic Recreation Institute on October 27, 2021

The Aquatics and Recreation Institute (ARI) NSW welcomes the NSW Government’s further investment to the aquatics and recreation sector with the announcement of the ‘First Lap’ voucher program which aims to make water safety education more accessible for NSW families.

The program will commence on 1 December 2021 and will provide $100 vouchers for parents, guardians and carers of children aged 3-6 years to contribute to the cost of learn to swim classes.

Matt Griffiths, ARINSW Chairperson, said “We are pleased that the State Government has recognised the importance of expanding the learn to swim voucher program to include kindy kids who missed out on lessons due to COVID-19 restrictions. ARINSW thanks Premier Dominic Perrottet and Minister for Sport Natalie Ward for their continued support of the aquatics and recreation sector.”

ARINSW members can learn more about the program: https://www.sport.nsw.gov.au/firstlap

ARINSW will continue to engage with the State Government and the Office of Sport to ensure the successful reopening of the sector as we approach summer.

We thank our members for their support and feedback.
