The National Cabinet has established a 3-stage framework for the easing of baseline restrictions to live in a COVD-19 safe economy.
Individual states and territories will determine the timeframe for graduating between steps and individual restrictions to remove. This reflects the fact that states and territories are at different stages of the pandemic response.
After assessing the new framework from National Cabinet, the NSW Government has announced a further easing of restrictions from 15 May.
Outdoor pools are permitted to reopen where there are no more than 10 people allowed in the pool and change rooms remain closed.
As of 19 May 2020, the Hon Brad Hazard, Minister for Health and Medical Research, has provided exemption to indoor swimming pools with a length of 25 metres or greater for the purpose of participating in squad training:

It is the responsibility of operators and managers to ensure the re-opening and ongoing operation of venues is in compliance with NSW Government's easing of restrictions.
