Resignation – Louise Magee
Louise Magee has resigned as Aquatic & Recreation Institute NSW Events and Sponsorship Coordinator.
The ARI NSW Board would like to formally thank Louise for the service she has provided to the members and Board members both past and present over the past decade. She has developed many wonderful friendships during her time working with the ARI and she looks forward to continuing these relationships.
We wish Louise all the best as she takes on a full-time position with Royal Life Saving NSW. Louise’s last day with ARI NSW will be 3 March 2021.
Resignation – Colin Kane
Colin Kane has resigned as Director elected Chairperson of Aquatic & Recreation Institute NSW. Colin resigned effective from 22 February 2021. However, he will continue to uphold his Director duties for his full term. Colin will not be re-nominating as a Director at the next AGM.
The ARI NSW Board would like to formally thank Colin for his time as Chairperson and prior to that as President.
Election of Chairperson – Nichole Edsall
Following the resignation of the Chairperson, the Board has elected to appoint a new Chairperson. Nichole Edsall was voted in unanimously on 26 February 2021 by the Board as elected Chairperson of Aquatic & Recreation Institute NSW.
Nichole commenced as a Director of the Board in August 2020. Although new to the ARI NSW Board she has over 25 years of experience in the aquatic and recreation industry. She is currently Key Venues, Chief Operations Manager at Blacktown City Council. Nichole will be working hard to guide the Board and members.
Future events
With the current unpredictable COVID-19 environment the way ARI NSW has delivered conferences and events in the past will change. The Board is committed to organizing events that will allow our corporate partners to showcase their products and network, as well for members to be given the opportunity to network and learn new skills. We will be launching a series of events over the next few months. More information will be released shortly.
