ARI Young Leaders Advisory Group Webinar - Building a Career in Aquatics and Recreation

On Wednesday 29th June 2022 at 12:30pm the Young Leaders Advisory Group will be hosting the first in our series of webinars.

Join a panel of industry leaders as we talk through their career journey's and pathway's that have lead to their current positions within our industry. 

The speakers will answer questions that have been prepared by the ARI Young Leaders Advisory Group. The webinar will be facilitated by two of our Young Leaders, Mel Rahtz and Kate Makin. 

The questions cover topics that expand upon the decisions our speakers have made and pathways they have taken to develop their experience within the industry and followed what drives their passion for their careers. 

The speakers will share their thoughts, tools and tips that will allow the current industry employees to assist in making informed decisions and how to kickstart their own career journey! 

Meet the Speakers:

Gary Johnson has held various roles in the industry, including lifeguard, duty supervisor and technical officer. He founded an aquatic risk management training and consultancy company, See Clearly Now, that delivered services across AUS/NZ; as well as attending and presenting at aquatic industry and drowning prevention conferences both inside and outside of Australia. Gary has been awarded an Australian National Aquatic Industry Safety Award and is currently working as a Development Officer for RLSNSW delivering training programs in North West NSW.

Ozren Vukelic is the General Manager for Sales, Marketing & HR at Sydney Sports Management Group. Oz has been in the Marketing space since 2009, has previously worked as the Sales and Marketing Manager for YMCA NSW, General Manager role with Rec Alley Gymnastics and is now Sales, Marketing and Human Resources General Manager at Sydney Sports Management Group.
