The winner of the 2021 Aquatic & Recreation Institute (ARI) EMERGING LEADER AWARD is Molly Shannon from Gungahlin Leisure Centre, The Y NSW.
This award recognises someone aged 35 years and younger who is committed, passionate, motivated and shows potential leadership abilities.
Molly Shannon has been employed by the Y NSW for more than six years. Molly has been the Customer Service Team Leader and has recently been promoted to the Senior Role of Frontline Co-Ordinator at Gungahlin Leisure Centre.
Molly Shannon has demonstrated her commitment, passion, and professionalism to facilitate a safe and caring environment for her staff, as well as an enjoyable experience for customers. Molly knows all regular members by name and puts in extra effort to provide customers information they are seeking.
Molly enjoys sharing her knowledge with staff from all departments at Gungahlin Leisure Centre and sites within the Y NSW organisation.
