With venues in hibernation and businesses re-imagining their future, now more than ever employees need to be looking at developing existing and attaining new skills.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, TAFE NSW, in conjunction with the NSW Government, is offering a number of fee-free short courses that can be completed in just days or weeks, offering practical skills and experiences across a range of industries.
Courses provide an accredited outcome and are available for a range of disciplines including administration, digital impact, leadership and business skills.

A global pandemic is sure to bring close attention to health and hygiene in venues, and in particular the mitigation of risk of disease transmission. Properly maintained swimming pool water is key to mitigate any risk to bather health. We expect Health Departments to take a keen increase in venue hygiene when they reopen and now is a great time to ensure staff are up skilled in monitoring and maintaining pool water quality.

In uncertain and challenging times, key aquatic and fitness industry organisations have come together and taken the decision to step up the effort to support engagement and professional development during the COVID-19 state of emergency. The outcome of this collaboration is the decision to offer free professional development opportunities to anybody associated with the aquatic and fitness industry four times each week between April and July.
With four streams covering Aquatic Operations, Swimming and Water Safety Education, Management and Leadership and Health and Fitness; these sessions are proving extremely popular.
