ARI Access Inclusion Award Winner

WINNER: Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope, Blacktown City Council

The winner of the 2021 ARI ACCESS INCLUSION AWARD is Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope, Blacktown City Council.

This award recognises commitment to access and inclusion.

Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope, which is a Blacktown City Council venue, pride themselves on the delivery of inclusion programs and the support they provide to inclusive activities and tournaments.

Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope has first class facilities that cater to all groups of the community with well-established programming.  The range of inclusion programs and activities include Wheelchair tennis, Blind/low vision tennis, seniors’ activities and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, transgender, and Intersex (LGBTI) events.

Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope has built strong partnerships with a variety of organisations to ensure program initiatives meet the inclusive and accessibility requirements of groups.

Blacktown City Council have been able to create accessible and inclusive facilities and programs at Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope through the implementation of inclusion open days and trial sessions.
