The Aquatic and Recreation Workforce Development Needs Survey is being conducted to collect information from Australian aquatic and recreation sector workers about career development, learning and development activity, and manager’s perspectives on workforce capability.

Research is vital to informing future policy and workforce development initiatives impacting the aquatic and recreation sector. This survey is an opportunity for workers to voice their experiences as employees within the sector.

The survey is being conducted as part of the Aquatic and Recreation Open Data initiative. This initiative aims to increase participation in aquatic and recreation research and promote open data access through collaboration. Key to the initiative is the principal of open data which requires data collected to be available to be freely used, modified and shared for any purpose.

The workforce Development Needs Survey is open for submission until 30 June 2021.
