2021 ARI AWARD NOMINATIONS EXTENDED FOR 3 AWARDS

A lot of submissions have been received for the 2021 ARI Awards, particularly for some of the new awards such as the Swim School Award and Access Inclusion Award.  We would like to thank everyone who has submitted nominations so far.

 

We are extending nominations for 3 awards only:
  • Lifeguard Award.
  • Environmental Sustainability Award.
  • Children's Program Award.

Nominations have been extended for these 3 awards only and will be accepted until 14 January 2022. Nomination is simple, complete the nomination form for the relevant award and email it to us admin@arinsw.com.au

The virtual awards date will be finalised and released once nominations close.

 

Lifeguard Award

This award recognises commitment and dedication of a pool lifeguard for their development of skills, level of training and service toward performing their duties.

Essential Criteria

  • Member of the Aquatic & Recreation Institute.
  • Current qualifications in accordance with national and/or state specific best practice.

Required Information

  • Details of achievements in the areas of service, skills, and training.
  • Details of any feedback on commitment and dedication to the position received from any customers, peers and/or employer.
  • A general statement on overall work ethic.

Environmental Sustainability Award

This award recognises commitment to Environmental Sustainability operations and business initiatives.

Essential Criteria

  • Member of the Aquatic & Recreation Institute.
  • Evidence of how your current operations and management practices have implemented improvements to at least 1 area of water efficiency, energy efficiency or waste reductions.

 Required Information

  • Select at least one area of environmental sustainability achievement improvements:
    • Energy efficiency – outline improvements to reduce energy consumption.
    • Water efficiency – outline improvements to reduce water usage.
    • Waste reduction – outline waste management strategies used to reduce excess waste.
  • Outline new technology or practices related to the environmentally sustainable project.
  • Outline what makes your innovation unique or a point of difference.

Children’s Program Award

This award recognises community-based programs using aquatic or land-based activities that are enhancing the wellbeing of children in the local community.

Essential Criteria

  • Member of the Aquatic & Recreation Institute.
  • Evidence of how the program implemented increased the opportunity for children to participate and supports change to a healthy and active lifestyle, or other health and social benefits.

 Required Information

  • Details of the program
  • Outline how the program has increased children participation.
