The Opportunity

Belgravia Leisure are seeking an experienced Safety Administrator to join their team and play a pivotal role in strengthening our work, health, safety culture.

Reporting to the General Manager – Health & Safety, this position will be responsible for supporting the safety function with administration and compliance in the areas of injury management, safety compliance, legislative administration, document and system maintenance. The Safety Administrator participates and supports other WHS initiatives as they arise from time to time.

This role can be remote or hybrid - they encourage applicants from all states and territories within Australia to apply.  This role may involve travel within your state to support our venues, with occasional interstate travel required.


Key Responsibilities

General Safety & Risk

  • Review incidents and trends to provide insights to the General Manager

  • Assist with incident investigation and compliance with incident management systems

  • Maintain the organisational legislative register

  • Maintain safety & risk systems and manage improvements

  • Maintain dashboards and reports using B-Connected/Dynamics and other systems to monitor incident trends, injury classifications, and regulatory notices

  • Compiling key management reports and board reports.

  • Use automated processes to ensure each stake holder has accurate and timely key performance indicators to complete their roles and responsibilities.

  • Drive safety compliance requirements surrounding general safety, aquatic safety and child safety requirements.

  • Coordinate meeting minutes and agendas for safety related committees.

Injury Management

  • Support the Incident Management Coordinator with incident investigations

  • Record keeping of past and current claims into Solv

  • Analysis of compensation trends and propose improved initiatives

Other duties

  • Deliver great service and quality to guests, stakeholders and team members

  • Follow the legislation, learn about and adhere to all company policies


About You

  • Current First Aid Certificate (Level 2)

  • Current CPR Certificate

  • Current Working with Children Check (or Equivalent)

  • National Police Check

  • 1-3 years general administrative experience

  • Good attention to detail, patient and process driven

  • Capable of researching online information related to state-based workers compensation requirements

  • Commitment to learning and development of personal skills
